IAAPS was founded by pioneers in Aesthetic plastic surgery 30 yrs ago.
It has successfully created awareness about the art and science of Aesthetic Plastic surgery among plastic surgeons and trained them in the craft to deliver quality results.
With growing popularity of aesthetic surgery, it is important to embrace and evaluate new technologies and less invasive options that are becoming available. We need to understand how these technologies work in our population , what side effects may occur and how to use them optimally.
We continue to encourage young members by awarding attendance opportunities to international conferences, through competitions.
I believe, IAAPS has a mission not just to train our plastic surgery students, but also the patients seeking aesthetic treatments. With this in mind, social media campaigns and blogs by our members will play important role.
Patients need to understand who are the qualified people to provide safe, effective aesthetic treatment with minimal complications. Moreover, plastic surgeons are the only community that can handle the complications if any, as they are well trained in reconstruction as well.
Thus we strive to maintain safety, quality, transparency and good service as four pillars of aesthetic practice.
Our patients are realising that aesthetic treatments are also making them fitter, more confident, and helping them live lives they can enjoy.
Lastly, our members as well as diaspora spread all over the world are contributing a sizeable quantum of knowledge and experience to aesthetic plastic surgery and thus we are recognised by international associations like ISAPS , ASAPS and BAAPS.
