Dr Raja Shanmuga Krishnan is a Consultant Plastic surgeon from the famous Ganga Hospital, Coimbatore.He won Gold medal in Plastic Surgery during MBBS at Madurai. At Madras Medical College he was awarded the Gold medal for the best Surgery post graduate. He did his Plastic surgical training at Ganga Hospital. He was awarded Gold medal for the best Tamil Nadu Plastic surgery postgraduate by both Madras Medical College and the state plastic surgery association(TANPAPS).He won the first prize in the prestigious S K Bhatnagar Quiz conducted for all Plastic Surgeons in India by the Association of Plastic Surgeons of India for two successive years. He further trained with the world famous Prof Venkatramakrishnan at Chelmsford, UK where he subspecialised in Oncoplastic Breast Surgery and Breast Cosmetic Surgery for 2 years. He then had his training in rhinoplasty, facial cosmetic surgery from the doyen of cosmetic surgery Dr Rod Rohrich, Dallas,USA for 4 months. He also learnt body contouring from Dr Joseph Capella, New Jersey,USA and visited Mayo Hospital, Rochester and New Orleans for 2 months .He loves speaking to his patients.
